Are you ready??

Location: Verified
(See Song: Home by Michael Buble, or Home by Daughtry)

Sweats: Obtained

Cookies: Baked.

This is gonna be good...

Random Junk....

This song has impacted me a lot today:

I did something that took all my courage today.
I'm still shaking.
I just want to thank all of you for being there,
Even if it just includes reading my blog.

Support it is, support it will remain.

In other, less serious matters, I have opened up my previous blog for public viewing.
Just so you can see my previous failures.
This is probably only appropriate for Halloween,
but here's the link.

Good luck keeping you eyeballs from being scorched.

confessions of a teenager

OK, out with it-
When people ask me who I like,
I tell them a former crush.

If I told them who I like now,
I would be in huge trouble.

Not that he's a "bad boy" or anything-
'Cause he's not.

But, the thing is, I know at LEAST 2 others of my friends like him, too.
And I know at least one of the is reading this right now.

So what's a girl to do?

Personally, I let it sit inside and let it burn through my soul.

Its better than estranging your friends.

for my daddy.

I love my daddy.
I made this for him.

This is his favorite song.
It's fourteen minutes long.
Listen to it here.

come on...

Come on. You know you're excited.

[Practically] Perfect

You know those people?
Y'know- those ones that you envy because their life is so seemingly perfect?
Well, it isn't always.
I'm starting to realize that.

:) Thanks Em!

There are some things in life that make something stir, deep inside of us.
Its always different for every one of us, but always from the same source-
songs, paintings, books, movies, or any work of art.

I believe that this is what Kermit calls "The Rainbow Connection".
We may believe things that are completely outrageous,
but we ridicule those things which we have experienced ourselves.
Because we are afraid of it.

My name is Rebekah Walker, and I believe in the Rainbow Connection.

this is why

Brit is right.
Blogging is a part of me.
It is something I do.

Just like you might play a sport.
Or an instrument.
We play with words, molding and shaping until the last word is punctuated.

nienie has an amazing story.
In 2008, Stephanie and her husband Christian were in plane crash.
Though they suffered severe burns, they both survived.
Stephanie received the worst of it, and was in a coma for 3 months before finally waking up.
She has often quoted blogging as her "therapy".

There is a world underneath our own, almost like a second skin.
This world is our dreams; our hopes, our desires, our passions, our ambitions.
Most of us think that this world only exists for us- therefore, we are afraid to share it with anybody.
But only the creators- the artists, the actors, the musicians, the writers, the bloggers; they are the only ones that realize that this world extends beyond.
And so they share it.
And this is what continues the legacy of our desires- feeding and growing off of others who have had the passion to go beyond the barriers of their own imagination.
Most called them crazy.
We call them gifted.
I call them courageous.

My name is Rebekah Walker, and I believe in blogging.

in an attempt to be teenage-ish....

..... I am starting something new on my blog.
You may have seen other things like this on other people's blogs.
Especially those that are my age.

So, in an attempt to be like my peers,
I am putting up an "Appreciation Worthy" box.
This is where, every week, I will put a person's name,
and why that person makes me smile.

Have fun! (And watch for your name)

OOh..... (shivers)

Are you excited?
I'm excited.
For tomorrow.
At 8 am.
Its. Gonna. Be. LEGITIMATE!!!!
:) Hahahahaha

(For all you not awesome/nerdy enough for marching band, it's starting tomorrow)

Why drama?
Why, of all the stupid, shallow things, drama?

My poor friend had an interesting experience with it yesterday.
Luckily one person was there to make her laugh as hard as she could.
No, it wasn't me. I can't make anybody laugh.

I hope she's doing all right.
What do you say when a person is going through that?

I'll do a sappy I'll-miss-you-jr.-high post later.
But here's what happens when you get:
and Sequoia

In a room together:

Apples 2 Apples
More Pizza
Cookie Dough

Oh... and LOTS of laughing/giggling/chortling/snorting/snickering.... etc.

Lagoon was AWESOME!
Can we go again next year? Pleeeease?
The problems with signing yearbooks are as followed:

1) You can't remember the poor sap's name
2) All anybody writes in your yearbook is H.A.G.S., making you feel worthless
3) You do the same as above because you're feeling sour and rushed on time
4) Everybody's in a hurry because they're afraid there's not enough time, making the message very hard to read
5) People want to counteract numbers 2 and 3, and so they take up an entire page writing random junk about the school year
6) See number 5, vice versa

Good luck.
You'll need it.
