In the wake of the Twilight series, Meyer's book The Host got kind of overlooked, I think.

Crazy...
So, apparently people from all over the world stumble across my blog... for example, check out this screen shot from today...Yes, if you can read under the "Pageviews by Countries", it says:
United States ---- 16
Australia --- 2
United Kingdom --- 1
Israel --- 1
Romania --- 1
Thailand --- 1
Weird, huh? I guess that's one of the interesting things about having a public blog.
:)
It makes me happy that my voice is getting to the world.
Well...
See you later!

What a way...
...to start Christmas vacation!
First up.... the last day of school. Boo.
We had a wonderful music assembly, for which I both Teched and Performed. Sequoia and I got excused from class to plan out the amazing light show, and then we did the assembly. Twice. My feet ache at the thought...
Then, I had a flute lesson at my flute teacher's house. That's always fun.
Later that night, while regaining my stamina, aka napping in front of the fireplace, my little sis press the phone to my ear, startling me into consciousness.
The despicable recorded message said that I sluffed all four periods. Fail. I actually DID go to Band and P.E., and I was excused from Geometry and Geography. I have a bone to pick with the attendance office.
Then, on Saturday was the Ward Christmas Party. It involved a breakfast of hash-browns, a french horn ensemble, and a 40-minute play put on by the Primary children.
After that, I pretty much laid around until my mom made me get in jeans and do my jobs. I got to make dinner that night. Me + Hot Oil = Delicious Navajo Tacos and a surprising lack of burns.
Then, today, we had the Christmas Program for Sacrament Meeting, and then a quiet party in Sunday School, and then a mini Christmas Program for Young Womens.
And now, I'm sitting here blogging. Exciting, right? Yes, actually, it is. Annie's making a delicious treat, and the rest of the kids are sitting in front of the fire reading.
Warm, fuzzy feelings?
Indeed.

This is....
This is the season beloved of the year. Sing a rhyme, Christmas time soon will be here. Tell the true story of Jesus' birth, when, as a baby, he came to the earth.
This is the new star, shining so bright, lighting the world on that first Christmas night.
These are the shepherds, humble and mild, hastening to worship the heavenly child.
See the sweet mother, Mary so fair, Joseph who guided the donkey with care.

Dear Best Friend...
Dear Best Friend...
Thank you.
Thank you for being there.
To hold me when I cry.
To laugh with me when I was happy.
Thank you.
For 45-minute drives from each others houses
Just to see each others faces
For the inside jokes
Like "godo"
Like the Sister Princesses
Like the Surfer Girls
Thank you
For the going-on-13 years of friendship we've shared
For swing-set surfboards
For sleepovers/late nights
For homemade french fries
For eating the frosting first
I want to remind you
Of our joys
Of our sorrows
Of our passing notes in class
And of our never getting caught ;)
I want to say sorry
For the fights
For the pain
For the suffering
For the obsessive rantings
And I want to thank you again
For the ever-constant emailing
And Instant Messaging
And the ever-constant bond that prevails over all the little things.
Thank you.
Signed, Your BFF,
Rebekah

Biggest Laughs of the Day!
You know what, let's do that cool counting backwards thing, okay? Okay!
#5: Amanda S. leaving her poor little flour sack Gavroche (see this link) at home and having her dad bring it!
#4: Levi T. explaining to me his dream about killing Miley Cyrus. Apparently he trampled her with a horse.... ;)
#3: Brian Regan, for always giving me laughs every single day! (MOOSEN!)
#2: My brother Joshua squirting juice in his eye while peeling an orange... not once, but TWICE!! The same eye, too! I nearly fell out of my chair!
AND....
#1:Michael K. falling asleep in class and then having Mr. Whitaker wake him up by setting off a bell. GREATEST PRACTICAL JOKE EVER!!! hahahahahahahaha!
Thanks everybody for making me laugh! You make me happy inside!!
